Two years ago, we launched G-Force Fund I. It was an opportunity to test out a hypothesis we had about pre-seed climate entrepreneurs—in particular what they needed to succeed. Partners Marian Gazdik (Startup Grind) and Louis Warner (former Founders Factory COO) built a three-pillared climate tech investment strategy, designed to de-risk pre-seed investing:
Capital—$150k investment
Operational support—six month programme of support from experienced operators and exited founders
Grant application support—to facilitate access to non-dilutive funding
Fund I attracted a high calibre cohort of climate founders, investing in nine high potential startups including Solivus, Materials Nexus, Quiron, and Manna Insect. Even at seed stage, several of these businesses are already showing early indicators of success. You can read more about our investments and what we learned through the course of Fund I here.
We have now launched G-Force Fund II—a €20 million pre-seed fund to invest in the world’s best climate entrepreneurs. And we’re excited to announce that, via Seedrs, we are opening up the opportunity for any eligible investors to partner with us to back visionary founders, learn more about pressing planet issues, and contribute to the development of these impactful technologies.
Our Seedrs allocation is now overfunded, but we are still open to interest from eligible investors.
